Care Guide
General Care
Leather naturally ages over time from exposure to the elements, oil from hands, scratches from use, and general patina. However, leather can look even better over time when cared for ✨
Be mindful that leather can scratch on rough or sharp surfaces! For purses, it may be wise to place potentially damaging items in a separate pouch, such as make-up and pens. As needed, take the time to clean off general dirt and dust with a soft, damp cloth. Squeeze excess water from the cloth and gently clean leather in circular motions. Allow to dry completely before use. Apply a leather conditioner occasionally to help preserve the leather. This may darken the leather at first until dry. Leather is subject to color variations and natural character. Often light marks (e.g., fingernail mark) can easily be rubbed out with your finger.
When not in use, store in a cool, dry, ventilated area away from sunlight. Stuff your bag completely to allow the leather to maintain its shape. Plain paper, cloth, or tissue paper – all work great. If the item will be sitting in storage for some time, plan to cover it to keep it dust free. Cover with a material that’s clean and breathable, such as a cotton dust bag, white cotton pillowcase, or a piece of fabric.
